Cool Edit Pro is a digital audio recorder, editor, and mixer with enough top-quality digital effects modules to

fill a room full of rack mounts (see screen shot). It can mix up to 64 tracks using just about any sound card. Cool Edit Pro allows you to record, play, convert, and edit files up to 2 gigabytes in size and in more than 25 formats, and its audio effects include reverb, multitap delay, 3D echo, equalizers, chorus, flanger, distortion, and more. In the demo version there is a time limit of 30 minutes per session, save and clipboard functions are disabled, and RealAudio is not supported.
